Pastoral Care
Is anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church, and they should pray over him after anointing him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. - James 5:14
The Pastors and Deacons of Ferndale Baptist Church are available to offer those looking for answers, seeking hope, and needing healing in the Ferndale area and surrounding communities. Currently, we have three pastors standing by to meet the guidance requirements of our congregation and beyond.
God’s Word will always be the basis of our problem-solving. All crises, trauma and trials found in ordinary life are common. Helping people find Jesus Christ in the middle of their issue is our main goal.
We offer these services for congregants and members of the community:
• Weddings
• Premarital and Marital Counseling
• Family coaching
•Divorce Care
• Celebrate Recovery
• Grief Share
• Prayer ministry
• Healing ministry
• Homebound ministry
• Funerals
• Widow and Widower ministry
• Home and Hospital visitation
• Biblical Direction & Discipleship
Please understand that the our pastors are here for you! Unfortunately, we can’t handle ALL the needs of those that require professional help. If we can not meet your needs, we will quickly refer you to someone who can but still commit to walk with you during your journey!

There are several reasons that pastoral care is so important:
- It focuses on the individual.
- It allows a person to deal with very personal issues individually!
- It reaches down into the depths of a person's soul to find hope and healing.
- It reminds those that are hurting that they are not alone!
The Pastoral Care Ministry exists to glorify God by training and equipping believers to provide quality spiritual care to persons within FBC and beyond. This will contribute to the spiritual health of the individual, as well as the overall health of the body of Christ we call Ferndale Baptist Church.
Deacons are laypersons who receive training, supervision, and support to minister to the body of Christ. These individuals provide confidential, one-on-one, Christ-centered care focusing on the unique needs of each person– those who are ill, lonely, grieving, new to the area, new parents, or experiencing other stresses in life. They strive to provide Biblical guidance and support as you walk through your crisis.
